Risks of buying on Auction

Buying a vehicle on an auction can often be a risky prospect. It’s hard to know if the sellers are reliable, even if they look like well established businesses. Additionally, most auction cars are offered `voetstoots`, and you won’t always have an opportunity to examine the vehicle before you make your purchase. Make yourself familiar with the rules and expectations of an auction before you attend. Read the auction items listing, if one is provided. Prepare for the purchase before you get there, taking cash or a bank cheque, if necessary. A little bit of homework and preparation can go a long way toward making your auction purchase a successful one.
